Feenstra Formally Launches Campaign for Governor

HULL, IOWA — Today, Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) officially launched his campaign for Governor of Iowa.

“I’m excited to officially launch our campaign to take Iowa to new heights. Born and raised in the small community of Hull, I learned hard work at a young age, and I want to take a workhorse mentality to Des Moines,” said Feenstra. “In Congress, I worked with President Trump to deliver the largest tax cut in U.S. history, keep men out of women’s sports and bathrooms, and stop China from buying Iowa farmland, and as Governor, I will work with President Trump to advance the America First agenda in Iowa. Together, with the support of Iowans across our great state, we will defend our conservative values and take Iowa to new heights.”

Congressman Randy Feenstra is a husband, father, and fourth-generation Iowan who is running for Governor to take Iowa to new heights. He met his wife of 32 years, Lynette, while working at the local Pizza Ranch and they raised four children together in the same community where they grew up — Hull, Iowa.

In his youth, Randy had a paper route and woke up at 3 AM for his job at the local bakery. Randy later worked in the private sector as Head of Sales for a large candy company, taught business at his alma mater, Dordt University, and oversaw the insurance division across several Iowa State Bank branches in Northwest Iowa. He also served as Hull City Administrator, Sioux County Treasurer, and Chairman of the Iowa Senate Ways and Means Committee, where he authored the largest tax cut in state history at the time. In 2020, Randy was elected to represent Iowa’s 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives where he serves as the only member of Congress on the powerful House Ways and Means Committee and the House Agriculture Committee.
